Rise & Shine serves families across Maroochydore, Buderim, Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba, Mountain Creek, and Cotton Tree. Eligible 4-year-olds can access Free Kindy, and when combined with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), many families pay significantly less than they expect.

Children who turn 4 on or before 30 June in the year before they start Prep are eligible for the Queensland Kindergarten Funding scheme, commonly known as Free Kindy. The program provides 600 hours per year (15 hours per week across 40 weeks) of funded kindergarten at approved services.
At Rise & Shine Maroochydore, Free Kindy funding is applied directly as a fee reduction; eligible families simply pay the gap between the funded amount and the full fee. Our team handles the paperwork and will walk you through exactly what your child qualifies for.
Free Kindy covers the core 15 hours per week. For families who need additional care hours, the federal Child Care Subsidy (CCS) applies on top, reducing out-of-pocket costs for the hours beyond the funded block. The two work together, and for many Maroochydore families the combined result is significantly lower fees than expected.
