Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

What makes Rise & Shine Kindergarten different from other childcare centres?

Rise & Shine Kindergarten delivers premium early learning and childcare through our holistic Shine Advantage curriculum. We are leaders in early childhood STEM education, with our world-first Orbit STEM Hub, Orbit Mobile STEM Shuttle, and Smart Start STEM rooms in every centre. Our Kindy+ program also offers excursions, events, and travel on our own bus, giving children rich learning beyond the classroom.

What age groups does Rise & Shine Kindergarten cater for?

We provide childcare and early learning for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, including nursery, toddler, and kindergarten/preschool programs.

What safety measures are in place at Rise & Shine Kindergarten?

Child safety is our highest priority and a part of our Core Values. No educator is ever alone with children, another crew member is always within sight or sound. Centres are supported by CCTV, a Safety Officer at each service, and a Group Safety Officer overseeing best-practice safety across all centres.

What is included in your childcare fees?

Our fees are fully inclusive, with no hidden extras. This covers fresh, nutritious meals, our holistic Shine Advantage curriculum, personalised Care+ approach, the Kindy+ program, our innovative Orbit STEM program, and a leading School Readiness program. Children enjoy enriching learning experiences, events, and programs all included in the daily fee.

How do you support nursery children?

We provide individual care for infants and toddlers through Care+. Our Care+ approach is a personalised care philosophy inspired by the Pikler and RIE Educaring approach, focusing on respectful relationships, responsive caregiving, and supporting each child’s individual development.

Do you offer a preschool or kindergarten program?

We offer a kindergarten program in QLD and preschool program in NSW, both are led by qualified early childhood professionals and go beyond the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to strengthen independence, confidence, and school readiness.

What childcare rebates are available at Rise & Shine Kindergarten?

Families at Rise & Shine Kindergarten can access Child Care Subsidy (CCS), Start Strong funding, and Free Kindy (where eligible). Rebate amounts vary depending on family circumstances, activity levels, and government criteria. After rebates, some families pay as little as $20 per day out of pocket, which includes everything from Care+ to Kindy+. We also have the Shine Circle Program which is a loyalty initiative for our families. Our team can help you understand your entitlements based on your individual circumstance.
