- Rise & Shine Kindergarten Castle Hill

Rise & Shine’s Castle Hill childcare centre operates under the AppleTree PreSchool brand. AppleTree is managed under Rise & Shine Education and includes the same family-owned values, the same Shine Advantage™ curriculum, and the same inclusions and standard of care that families across NSW have come to trust.
The name is local to the Hills District, but the program behind it is anything but small scale. AppleTree Pre-School brings the full weight of Rise & Shine’s early education framework to one of Sydney’s most family-focused communities, and families here notice the difference quickly.
The Hills District deserves more than a standard long day care option.
Our preschool and kindergarten in Castle Hill was built to deliver exactly that: an early learning experience for children aged 2 years to 6 years, in a modern centre designed around how young children grow and learn. Serving families across Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville, and Norwest, with fees starting from just $20 per day after government subsidies.
AppleTree Pre-School is the home of Rise & Shine in the Hills District, offering families in Castle Hill and surrounding suburbs a trusted, high-quality early learning environment. While proudly local, our centre is backed by national-quality standards as part of a 100% Australian family-owned organisation.
Recognised for excellence, AppleTree Pre-School is a recipient of the 2025 Teachers’ Guild of NSW Excellence Award and a winner of the Hills District Local Business Awards in the Early Childhood Education and Care category. Our structured, research-led curriculum sets a higher benchmark than many Castle Hill childcare centres, focusing on meaningful learning outcomes that support every child’s development.
For families searching for premium childcare in Castle Hill and the Hills District, AppleTree Pre-School combines local care with award-winning standards, helping children grow, learn, and thrive.
The Shine Advantage™ curriculum drives the program across every room. Smart Start builds literacy and STEM foundations, while Fit develops physical confidence. Inspired, Unite, and Crew build the creativity, teamwork, and emotional resilience that children carry into school and well beyond it.
For parents choosing between a large corporate provider and something more considered, our Castle Hill childcare centre offers the best of both: the resources and curriculum of a premium network, with the personal accountability of a family-run business.
The Care+ infant approach means every toddler has a dedicated primary educator and a consistent daily rhythm from day one. Castle Hill kindergarten children access the Orbit STEM Hub and a structured Transition to School Program before moving on.
Everything is taken care of, so families don’t need to think about the extras:
We’ve created a holistic, play-based early-learning curriculum designed to support your child’s whole development academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. Known across the sector for our award-winning STEM program, we lead the way in innovative early childhood education.
Our approach is called the Shine Advantage™ curriculum, a research-driven program that goes beyond teaching letters and numbers. While early literacy and numeracy are essential, true school readiness is built through problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence.
The Shine Advantage™ Program is structured around five core learning elements, ensuring every child develops the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to thrive in school and beyond.
We are happy and honoured to share some of the many testimonials from the hundreds of happy parents of children enrolled at Rise & Shine Kindergarten.
We are incredibly fortunate that Zoe is able to attend Rise & Shine. From the moment she enters the door I have a sense of security knowing she is being looked after by such friendly, nurturing, caring educators. The genuine affection and enthusiasm the staff show the children at the centre truly makes Rise and Shine a child’s “home away from home”. The cleanliness and educational facilities are amazing and are moving in line with today’s technology.
We would like to thank the staff at Rise and Shine Kindergarten for their professionalism. Even though my daughter has just started in the Centre, she fell in love with the place the moment she stepped in. We know that our daughter is well taken care of in the Centre. Each day she comes home with a new story to tell us and you can see the excitement in her eyes. We would highly recommend Rise & Shine Kindergarten and we know our daughter definitely enjoys her days there!
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and NSW Start Strong preschool funding work together to reduce what families pay. For eligible families at our Castle Hill childcare centre, fees can come down to as little as $20 per day. Check your CCS entitlement here.
Places fill quickly in the Hills District, so the sooner we can talk through availability, waitlist timing, and next steps, the better.
